blue bazaar design team finishes up tomorrow....

its a little bit sad but change is always good and who knows what i'll do with my spare time or what doors may open.... 

i won't be leaving entirely. i'll still be doing a newsletter for blue bazaar using the poppy ink kit which is always full of lots of cool stuff to play with.

anyway, the bb newsletter was out today showcasing some old dt favourites.  i chose this one:

i wrote:  I started at BB when I had just one tiny baby and now I have 4, so there have been lots of layouts created over the years as a proud mum and sometimes with a heavy heart.  Of course I can't pick a layout featuring just one of my children so I've decided to choose a layout which has me as the subject.  This one I loved doing. 

 

Mum tells me I've always been creative so this layout is about very big life changing decisions I made in my early 30's.  Leaving the business world to follow a creative path and accepting that creating was something I should be doing not something I should hide away. Anyway, I have never looked back and couldn't have made better choices than I did back then!  Why did it take me so long?

nice to go back & look at older work. i rarely look back, i tend to get bored easily and move in different directions, taking just the bits i haven't yet got out of my system.

hot potato, hot potato...

we are off to our very first wiggles concert!!!!!!!  i am so excited!  is that a bit sad?

i never thought i would be so excited but i just cannot wait to see the girls reaction to the wiggles live. we are in the hot potato section which i am told is right up the front. 

they absolutely adore the wiggles.  of course georgia wants to marry greg.... coz she loves yellow.  when i told the girls i was successful in getting the tickets, georgia immediately asked, 'will it be greg mum?'  i said, 'no love it will be sam.'  she processed it for a second and replied, 'i love sam mum!'  phew!

the "you make me feel like dancing" dvd, the new one, has been getting a bit of a thrashing lately.  the girls go wild when shimmy shake comes on. must admit, i love it too.  lots of great tracks on this one.

love saying that...  here's us as of today. i took this with my new dslr [still have no idea what i am doing!] using the timer thingo & continuous shooting.  150 pics later, here;s the best of a not so good bunch.  very hard to get a good snap with all little persons facing front & with nice natural smiles but anyway, we are all together & happy.

my mum's away os...

one of the best family weekends ever...

we managed to get through the crazy april/may birthday seasons yet again but were just desperate for some quality family time.  family time out of the house with the kids. nice simple stuff.

last saturday, jeff's dad [pop] was working on the cockle train and so along with a check in to see him [+some other family riding the train] at mt barker & strathalbyn, we visited melbas chocolate factory, the cheese factory next door and the giant rocking horse at gumeracha.  had a lovely picnic just outside melbas too.

on the sunday we went to farewell jeff's brother steven and dad, who were leaving for a weeks holiday to nt on the ghan.  all the family were there.  we then headed off to the zoo and dropped in to the rundle street markets in the city, where i bought a bunch of adorable little woollen fairies for the girls [and me too!].

a little saying we have in our house when my big girls sleep head to toe.....  they always find it so funny.

anyway, here's the twins feet at 8 weeks.  i took it the week chelsea got home from hospital.

love their toes all together.  2 feet is cute, but 4, well, extra cute!  imagine if their were 8?!!!!!
